About Us

Stephen Stern, the President of Stens Corporation, has been involved in biofeedback training and product development since 1972.

At that time, he founded The Biofeedback Center of Berkeley, CA, which offered treatment of stress-related disorders. In 1976, it began offering training seminars for therapists, and by 1980 offered an intensive training program course, adaptable to a variety of clinical settings.

In 1986, under the direction of Philip Hughes, Phd., The Professional Biofeedback Certificate Program was created. This program was among the first to receive accreditation from the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA).

Now recognized nationally as the leader in biofeedback training and the distribution of all major lines of biofeedback instruments and software, Stens Corporation continues to provide innovative and cutting-edge products and unique, hands-on training to practitioners throughout the United States. Well over 5,000 individuals have graduated from Stens Professional Certificate Program, contributing to its leadership in the biofeedback field.
